PLANTING AND CUTTINGS!

My boys have a real love for the compressed compost blocks you can buy from garden centres. They like to get a pot and fill it with water and watch the block expand. If it looks like it needs some help they chop and stir it with a knife or a fork. This process seems to be more enjoyable than the actual planting of the seeds.

Kenzie and "E" adding the water!

After planting up our red cabbage seeds (mainly for rabbit food supplies) we also tried out some cool rooting pots that the boys Aunties had got them from the garden centre. These have a clear gell in them so you can see the roots growing. They keep checking on the cuttings they took to see if any of the roots have started to sprout!

We will keep you posted on how our cuttings do!
