DUPLO, DRESS UP AND COOKING!

Today has mainly been a Duplo day. This is the toy of the moment and since the girls learnt to join bricks together on Monday, they have been building every day! They did build several towers of bricks but also took an interest in the farm animals and house pieces.

Animals were to put to bed by little "L" and we were all told to be quite! "SSSSHHHHH!"

Little "R" spent a long time trying to attach a crane to a sheep! the concentration was wonderful. Turning the sheep over in her hands to find some way that it might attach to the crane!

The girls have been dressing up Buddy bear this week. He is currently dressed as Iron Man but little "R" found some of his clothes and tried them on herself. She turned herself in to Rudolf!

After school, the older children enjoyed the Duplo as well. Kenzie made a car garage with his blocks.

After dinner we made a cheese cake together! Little "E" greased the tin, Brendan mixed the butter and biscuit crumbs together and Kenzie melted the butter on the hob.

The boys pushed the biscuit base in to the pan and we left it set in the fridge.

We made the cheese topping and added tangerine segments to the top! SOOOOO Yummy!

Today's play, meets the following EYFS Prime and specific areas
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional
  • Communication and Language
  • Expressive Art and Design
