We celebrated a very wet May Day this year! The rain did not stop falling all day and very heavy too! So we decided to enjoy some indoor May Day crafts!
We used tissue paper squares and pipe cleaners to make some simple flowers. This was a nice easy activity for the young children to enjoy. Using our hands to scrunch up the flowers and then using the pipe cleaner to twist around the base and make a stem!
It takes real concentration and a careful hand to twist the pipe cleaner around the flower base and make it tight enough to hold the flower in place!
We also made crowns. We used green card to make a wavy crown and then added flower and bird stickers to it. The children screwed up bits of tissue paper and added them as well.
Don't they look cute!!
