SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2014 DAY 3

Day 3 and lots of outdoor play today. There has been a lovely breeze which as has kept things slightly less sticky. We enjoyed more junk modelling. Today it was Star Trek ships, influenced by Brendan, who has finally broken up for the summer! Much talk of warp speeds and warp nacelles.

We had a lovely picnic with Heather and her gang on the village green.

We played in the park and on the skate ramps. Brendan decided he was not going to get dressed for this trip and came in his PJ's!  Here he is burying the girls feet and they are being plants! We are growing children!

We told them we would come back and water them later! :-)

We made quite a lot of sticker pictures and drawings this afternoon.

The water beads have been enjoyed. Milk bottle tops and frogs have been added. There were also some curtain rings thrown in and some giant bugs came for a munch.

We also spent a lot of time in the pool, playing with littlest pet shop and happy land toys, watched a Pokemon movie, read some more books towards our reading challenge and took photos with the Kiddizoom cameras.

Today's play, meets the following EYFS Prime and specific areas
  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social and Emotional
  • Mathematical
  • Literacy
  • Expressive Art and Design
  • Understanding the world
