SEARCHING FOR SPRING!

A beautiful sunny day and perfect for a little walk to se the signs of Spring and a play in the park!

The Sycamore seeds that we saw falling last year and collected for our nature table have now started to grow in the park where so many had fallen. We have to clear them every year sadly but it is lovely to watch them sprouting. Many still have their helicopters still on their heads!

We also looked out for birds and watched a crow collecting sticks which it then flew up to the nest it was building in the chimney of the pub across the road. We took some of our own bird friends with us. These are lovely because they play the actual bird song that we would hear from that species of bird. It helps us to identify birds we can hear but not see!

"I" made trails in the bark chip with a stick for "L" to follow. She hid treasure at the end!

Today's play, meets the following EYFS Prime and specific areas:
  • Physical Development
  • Understanding the world
