NAME WRITING

I am noticing more interest in name writing in my 3.5 year old's at the moment. They are all girls and have started to write their names on their own pictures. They are all at different stages. The youngest can pretty much write her name without any help. It is backwards due to being left handed but still very clearly her name. Another carefully writes over each letter and can name some of them. The third asks me to write her name so that she can trace over it and recognises the first letter. She sometimes draws a circle around the whole letter rather than following the line but this is happening less the more she practices. '

TRAJECTORY SCHEMA ON OUR WALK

Schemas really do show up in all areas of play. These pictures are a perfect example of how my little ones found a way to explore their Trajectory schema today while we took a walk to observe Autumnal changes starting. A nice long wall to push their trains along!

We spent quite some time repeating this interest and going back and forth..... up and down.
