PAINTING A GARDEN WITH TODDLERS.

The children have been using nature as inspiration for their painting today. They used different brushes and rollers to make marks on their paper that reminded them of the plants we have been seeing in the garden and on our walks. They talked about the colours of the leaves and petals. It was a lovely recap on our recent daily walks.

It was interesting to see how they used the green as a background and then added little blobs of colour for the flowers. They really seem to have taken in some observations of the plants growing around them.

Today's play, meets the following EYFS Prime and specific areas:
  • Physical Development
  • Expressive Art and Design
  • Understanding the world
